The Motor Ombudsman is committed to raising standards and good practices across the motor industry. More than 99% of new cars sold in the UK are covered by the New Car Code and we support 7,500 garages though our Service and Repair Code.

The Motor Ombudsman is committed to helping the motor industry comply with consumer legislation and to ensure that motor industry operators are able to deliver the highest standards of service to their customers. 

Our training courses are developed to enable employees from across the automotive industry to ensure their organisations operate legally within the remit of consumer law. 

The Motor Ombudsman training is delivered in partnership with the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI). This partnership delivers a suite of training modules that will be continually updated to meet training needs across the motor industry.
